The buzz online continues since the latest eviction night of Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition.
The second duo to leave the PBB house was "Chakira," Charlie Fleming and Kira Balinger. While their exit was undeniably emotional, many couldn't help but find a lighthearted twist in how they said their goodbyes.
During eviction night, Charlie and Kira held hands and bowed their heads in anticipation of the results. The moment instantly reminded viewers of beauty queens waiting for the crown, prompting a wave of memes and witty reactions on social media. Some fans even dug up ChaKira's iconic runway walk from Michelle Dee's pageant training workshop inside the house.
When the duo appeared on Unang Hirit, they were all smiles as they reacted to their now-viral eviction night.
"Actually, hindi po namin pinag-isipan 'yun," Kira admitted.
"We had a goal in mind po noong nasa loob kami, and we heard that we were nominated. Our goal po talaga in mind was to look good. So, even [when] we walked out, we knew that we really looked gorgeous [and] amazing," the duo collectively shared.
Speaking of pageants, Kira also opened up about her long-time dream of joining one someday.
"I wanted to focus on one thing at a time, which is itong acting career ko. 'Cause when you join a beauty pageant, it really takes a lot of effort... hindi po basta basta, syempre may training," she explained.
But part of that dream came true inside the PBB house when she got the chance to live with none other than Miss Universe Philippines 2023 Michelle Dee.
"To live with Ate MMD, as iconic as she is, it was such a huge blessing, ang dami kong natutunan sa kaya," Kira shared. "Sobrang hanga po ako sa kanya, she really took time to sit down with all of us ad to have our own little personal talks, sobrang talino niya, sobrang bait niya. Nakakakilig!"
Now out of Bahay ni Kuya, Charlie and Kira cherish the memories inside PBB while cheering on their fellow housemates from the outside world.
The two also expressed heartfelt thanks to fans who continue to show love for them as individuals and as a duo.
"Sobrang nakakataba po kayo ng puso," Kira said. "I honestly am speechless the amount of love and support that both of us been receiving as ChaKira. Kaya thank you thank you so much po sa mga nagmamahal po sa amin. We see all of you and we love you so much. Thank you."
Likewise, Charlie said, "I just wanna say thank you to Kira because we walk out together and I'm so happy to be here with you today. Maraming maraming salamat po for the support and it was so overwhelming just walking and seeing how much love you guys are giving to me and of course to my duo Kira.
"Guys, I just hope that this support and this love just continues and spreads on to everyone else inside the house. Keep supporting and loving them because I know they really need that right now."
Charlie and Kira were the second PBB duo who got evicted and became viral, following Ashley Ortega and AC Bonifacio's OA-and-nonchalant exit.
