On the sidelines of The Master Cutter grand media conference on May 5, Charlie shared what it was like growing up with her mom.

“I appreciate my mom. Of course, I grew up alone with her, and there are so many little things that I wish every child could grow up learning from her mindset,” she said.

“I could make a whole list, but I'm just really grateful that she influenced me to get to know God more. Those are the things that made my foundation as strong as it is now,” Charlie added.

Recalling their conversations, the former Pinoy Big Brother housemate shared how her mother guided her in making important life decisions.

She said her mom would always remind her not to do anything she might regret in the future.

“Little things she said stick to my mind—don't do things that will haunt you for life. If it's a crucial decision, make sure it won't lead to regret,” Charlie explained.

She also shared one of her mother's most impactful principles—living with honesty and transparency.

“She would say, 'I have no skeletons in the closet,' meaning wala siyang tinatago. Lahat ng mistakes niya, lahat ng regrets niya, she shares—not just for people to know, but for others to learn from,” Charlie said.

“I appreciate my mom because I learned from her mistakes, so I don't have to go through the same things. I hope more people are open like that—listening to others really helps you grow,” she added.

Watch Charlie as she portrays Karla in The Master Cutter, which premieres on GMA and GTV beginning May 11.
