Chelsea Manalo celebrated her special day as she turned a year older on October 14.

The 25-year-old Miss Universe Philippines 2024 shared moments from her birthday celebration, showing her all radiantly smiling with a dessert.

"I wish," she briefly captioned her photo.

Her fellow Filipina beauty queens, including MJ Lastimosa, Hannah Arnold, and Alexie Brooks, left comments on her posts, wishing her a happy birthday.

On Friday, Balitanghali featured Chelsea's send-off ceremony for the Miss Universe 2024 pageant in Mexico.

Chelsea's mother Contessa and stepfather Randy Angele were present at the event, as well as Miss Universe Philippines 2013 Ariella Arida and Miss Universe Philippines national director and Miss Universe 2011 third runner-up Shamcey Supsup.

During her interview at the send-off ceremony, Chelsea narrated how she will continue being an inspiration as a woman of color, focusing on the importance of listening to the stories of other people.

"The story that you hear from other people, try to indulge into that because if you hear that, then you have the voice. We already have that voice, we are already impactful in so many ways. Hearing people can be already influential because you have that capacity to really realize what is happening in reality, what is happening in the society," she said.

The Bulacan native was crowned Miss Universe Philippines 2024 in May. She made history as the first Filipino-Black American candidate to win the Miss Universe Philippines crown. Among her advocacies are youth education and body positivity.

The Miss Universe 2024 pageant will be held in November, with the Preliminary and National Costume competition to be held on November 14 and the coronation night on November 16.
