Now that she’s one of the most promising young stars of the Kapuso network, Joyce Ching can claim that she’s living her dream. From her humble beginnings in Bubble Gang Jr. to supporting roles in different shows like Koreana and Munting Heredera, she has earned her way into notching lead roles.

Show after show, she proves that she deserves each pedestal she’s put in as she exceeds expectations in assignments given to her. Today, she plays the rich and bratty Cheska in Paraiso Ko’y Ikaw, alongside Kristoffer Martin, Kim Rodriguez and Phytos Ramirez.

As her roles mature and as she continues to grow up in the showbiz industry, the 19-year-old admits that it’s not easy being in the public eye. She has learned the hard way that she can’t please everyone.

“Hindi (na) ako naaapektuhan sa haters. Hindi ko (na lang) masyado dinidibdib,” she said. Another challenge she has managed to conquer is having to shift from emotion to emotion when a scene calls for it.

“Halimbawa, malungkot (ako), pero kailangan sa eksena masaya. 'Yung paglalaruan mo 'yung sarili mong emotions, 'yung feelings mo, kahit ang lungkot lungkot mo. Pag eksena na, kailangan happy ka,” she shared.

As time goes by and as her experience broadens, Joyce has learned to adjust because she acknowledges that she has to embrace every bit of the industry that she has always wanted to be a part of.

“Childhood dream ko talaga ang maging artista. Three years old pa lang ako, gusto ko na makita ako sa TV,” the young actress declared.

To her, every day is an adventure as she works with different people, encounters different tests on screen and off screen, and experiences different encounters with her fans. One of her supporters, much to Joyce’s surprise, even had her name tattooed on her wrist.

Find out how Joyce reacted to this in the first part of her webisode, coming soon on GMANetwork.com. Meanwhile, don’t miss the last two weeks of Paraiso Ko’y Ikaw, weekdays before 24 Oras.
