Maxene Magalona admits that she loves shopping. She has simple tastes and that she loves hanging out with her family. She is your typical young adult who just happens to be born into showbiz royalty. Photos courtesy of GMA Network. “Very simple, I don’t wear make up sa school, and I think I should have worn today!” she says with a laugh when iGMA caught up with her. It’s true. When one has the opportunity to see Maxene when she is not “working”, she wears no make-up at all. She still looks really pretty though. She continues, “I’m not maarte like what you saw on Daddy Di, I don’t have that showbiz aura.” No showbiz aura? Well, she could have fooled us because even without the cosmetics and the glam, she still attracts everyone’s attention. Maybe it is because of her lovely face, or maybe, her luminous skin or just the way she carries herself. No matter what the reason, it cannot be denied that Maxene is a star. But if anybody still doubts what is important to her, she states “I’m not really hooked on the fame.” Maxene reveals that even if she grew up within the world of showbiz, she is a very private person. She tells iGMA that one of her pet peeves is when people ask for her picture while she is eating in public. “Okay lang naman na magpa-picture pero, naiinis ako ‘pag kumakain ako. We’re not being masuplada [or] mataray, it’s just that we hope that they also respect our privacy.” She Likes When she is not being a student or an actor, Maxene is simply a sister, daughter and girlfriend. She likes watching movies, shopping and surfing the internet. She says that her family loves watching dvds when they are all together, everything from television shows to movies. She excitedly shares that the Magalona clan is hooked on LOST, Heroes and Prison Break “Gusto namin sunud sunod!” She is one unique young lady who keeps on surprising her audience and fans.
