Parokya ni Edgar frontman Chito Miranda Jr. is among the many celebrities who mourned the sudden passing of Slapshock singer Jamir Garcia yesterday, November 26.
That's why on Instagram, Chito shared how he developed his bond with the late singer, which wasn't all that friendly initially.
“Dati, hindi kita trip,” the singer confessed.
“Hindi ko rin trip 'yung banda mo, and I always made sure na maging snob at mayabang sa'yo…, or I would at least try, kasi 'di naman talaga ako ganun… pero gusto talaga kita yabangan every time nagkikita tayo.”
Chito explained, “Ganun ako sa'yo simply because I was intimidated by you, your band, and your crowd.”
Despite Chito's shortcomings, he said that Jamir remained “kind and soft-spoken” towards him.
“Hanggang wala na lang talaga akong magawa kundi maging mabait din sa'yo kasi wa-epek 'yung mga pa-angas-angas ko sa'yo.
“Wala rin choice kundi mabilib sa banda ninyo dahil sobrang professional at hardworking n'yo lahat.”
He then wrote, “Malungkot ako na nawala ka kaagad, pero masaya ako na nakilala kita. Rakenrol, parekoy.”
Jamir Garcia was found lifeless inside his Quezon City home on Thursday morning, November 26.
According to a report made by Quezon City Police District Talipapa Police chief Police Lieutenant Colonel Christine Tabdi, Jamir's body was declared dead on arrival when it arrived in Metro North hospital.
