It looks like a third part of “Adulting with Chiz” is in our midst as Heart Evangelista shared a snippet of what's to come on her Instagram late Thursday, July 2.
In the endearing clip, we see Heart challenging her husband, Senator Chiz Escudero, to recite the original version of the Philippine National Anthem after the latter mentioned that it was initially composed in Spanish.
He uttered, “Tierra adorada -- minemorize ko 'yan noong Spanish class ko.”
In disbelief, Heart dared, “Ano 'yung Spanish?
“Kung nakuha mo 'yang Spanish na 'yan, wala na talaga! Game over na. Alam mo ba 'yon?”
From that point on, Chiz articulated the following lyrics word for word:
Tierra adorada
Hija del sol de Oriente,
Su fuego ardiente
En ti latiendo esta.
Patria de amores!
Del heroismo cuna,
Los invasores
No te hallaran jamas
En tu azul cielo, en tus auras,
En tus montes y en tu mar
Esplende y late el poema
De tu amada libertad.
Tu pabellón, que en las lides
La victoria iluminó,
No verá nunca apagados
Sus estrellas y su sol.
Tierra de dichas, del sol y amores,
En tu regazo dulce es vivir.
Es una gloria para tus hijos,
Cuando te ofenden, por ti morir.

“Lupang Hinirang,” originally titled “Marcha Nacional Filipina,” was composed in 1898 by Julian Felipe and was adapted from the Spanish poem “Filipinas” written by Jose Palma in 1899.
The Spanish lyrics were then translated in English starting in 1919 by Paz Marquez-Benitez during the Pre-Commonwealth period and were revised in 1938 by Camilo Osias and A.L. Lane for the Commonwealth Era. By the 1950s, the lyrics were translated into Tagalog and underwent slight revisions in the '60s, which we still use today.
On February 12, 1998, the current Filipino version was recognized by law under the Republic Act No. 8491 or the Flag and Heraldic Code which specifies, “The National Anthem of the Philippines shall always be sung in the national language within or outside the country.”
