Choi Ji Woo

South Korean actress Choi Ji Woo sent an inspiring message to fellow expectant mothers in the time of COVID-19 as she shows off her baby bump.

Through a handwritten letter posted on her official fan site, South Korean actress Choi Ji Woo expressed solidarity with fellow expectant mothers in the time of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The actress also shared a photo of her showcasing her baby bump and holding balloons which imply that she is having a baby girl.

In the letter, she revealed that she has two weeks left before she is due to give birth.

She also says that she has a newfound respect for mothers, especially during these uncertain times.

The 45-year-old actress hopes that she can inspire other mothers who decided to have children while well into their years.

Here is her full letter, as translated by entertainment site Soompi.

"To the Star Jiwoo family,

Hello. Long time no see.

First, I would like to say hello to everyone's families who are having a hard time due to the coronavirus.

I finally have about two weeks left before my due date and just took a photo of myself in front of my home. After becoming pregnant at a later age and preparing with a cautious mind due to the coronavirus, I feel a great level of respect for Korean mothers.

I hope that other expecting mothers who are also working hard to prepare to give birth can gain strength while looking at me, the icon of late pregnancy.

I will create a happy family with a grateful mind that all of this joy is thanks to my fans. I hope that there will be lots of better news when I say hello again after giving birth.

From Ji Woo in May."

Choi Ji Woo married her non-showbiz boyfriend in 2018 and announced her pregnancy in 2019.

She is one of the forerunners of the Hallyu Wave in Asia with hits like Winter Sonata and Stairway to Heaven.
