Page Six reports that Chris Evans will be on People magazine's cover next week.
Fans of Chris Evans will say that they already know he's the sexiest man alive, but if Page Six is correct, People will officially name the 40-year-old actor as 2021's Sexiest Man Alive.
Attributing the news to multiple sources, Page Six says the revelation will be made on next week's issue of People. The publication further says that Chris was actually supposed to take the honor last year, but did not push through because it was “not great timing.”
Sources at the magazine also said that Chris accidentally posting a picture of his penis in September of last year played a factor in him not getting the cover. At the time, Chris took the accidental leak in stride, even joking about it on Twitter.
He also talked about the incident on The Tamron Hall Show, saying “You know, things happen, it's embarrassing, you gotta roll with the punches. I will say I have some pretty fantastic fans who really came to my support and that was really, really nice.”
Michael B. Jordan was the one named Sexiest Man Alive last year.
Chris Evans being named Sexiest Man Alive by People magazine comes on the heels of the release of the first Lightyear trailer.
In the new Pixar movie, Chris will be voicing “the human that the toy Buzz Lightyear is based on.” When his casting was first announced, he posted on Instagram that it was “a dream come true” and that he could not help but smile every time he thought about the project.
