Asia's Romantic Balladeer Christian Bautista received the People's Voice Favorite Record of the Year award for his song 'Kapit' in the 31st Awit Awards held on Sunday, October 14, at the New Frontier Theater.

The Pamilya Roces actor turned to social media to thank his management and fans, and revealed that he thought that the said song was going to be his last.

I thought Kapit was going to be my last record. I'm glad that the song itself spoke to me. May it speak to you as well : not to give up. Thank you @katramnani For being one of the first to show support when you first heard the raw version . Love you. And Thank You Lord for not giving up on me.
