Chuckie Dreyfus, Jillian Ward

Chuckie Dreyfus tells Jillian Ward: “You don't owe anyone an explanation -- your success is built on grit, grace, and God's timing.”

Kapuso homegrown star Jillian Ward bravely faced tough questions from the King of Talk, Boy Abunda, as she addressed the many rumors and fake news spreading about her online.

The Star of the New Gen sat down with Fast Talk with Boy Abunda yesterday, October 21, to clear her name and deny the absurd rumors circulating on social media--particularly those claiming she has a “benefactor” or “sugar daddy.”

Clearly emotional, Jillian told Tito Boy that she's had enough of the lies, which have deeply affected her family, especially her mom, Jennifer.

“Sobrang na-hurt na po talaga ako kasi sobra po 'yung pambabastos ng mga tao because of fake news. It took me four years to speak up about it. Ang pinaka-turning point po sa akin is 'yung family ko, binabastos na rin--especially my mom. So sabi ko, 'enough na po.'”

“Yung sinasabi po nila na binebenta daw ako ng mother ko, kaya raw po ako may mga investments--and siyempre nakakabastos po 'yun sa mom ko. Iniisip ko rin 'yung 15 years of hard work ko, parang tinatapon lang nila lahat ng 'yun dahil sa fake news. Sobra po 'yung disrespect.”

Amid the controversy, Jillian found support from her former Abot-Kamay na Pangarap co-star, Chuckie Dreyfus, who took to Facebook to defend the young actress.

The '80s child star posted a photo with Jillian and shared a heartfelt message, reminding her that he'll always have her back.

“I've known you since you were about 6 years old. I've seen you bloom, not just as an artist but as a woman with so much heart. Not a lot of people know this, pero madalas ka sa'kin mag-open up--about your wins, struggles, frustrations, love, dreams… even your doubts. You've poured your heart out to me more times than I can count. And every time we talk, I see that same genuine, grounded girl behind all the glitz and glam.”

He continued: “That's why when people start throwing shade or questioning the things you've worked hard for, hindi ko talaga kayang manahimik. I know your grind. I've seen your sacrifices. I know the time, effort, and tears behind every little win. You told me about this issue a long time ago, remember?

Sabi ko nga sa'yo noon pa--people will always have something to say. That's just how the world is. But you don't owe anyone an explanation, especially when your success is built on grit, grace, and God's timing.”

Chuckie ended his message with a touching note: “Anak, Tatay is so proud of you. I love you. I believe in you. No matter how loud the noise gets, remember your truth. Remember what you've built with your own two hands. Remember the heart behind it all.

You've always led with love, and that's what makes you different. So stand tall. Keep being you. Because the woman you are today--she's someone worth looking up to.”
