What are the lessons that Chynna learned during her nine-year relationship with Railey Valeroso?

During her guesting in Basta Every Day Happy last week, actress Chynna Ortaleza admitted to Gladys and Alex how her nine-year relationship with Railey Valeroso made her forget about trying to be the best version of herself.
“Naisip ko na puwede kong kalimutan 'yung mga passion ko, ganyan, 'yung mga talagang importante sa ‘kin para mapasaya ko 'yung partner ko,” she said.
Her ex-boyfriend Railey also experienced the same thing.
“Hindi lang din naman ako. Kumbaga sa relationship ko noon, kahit naman din si Railey, ganun din… Parang naisip niya, ‘ah, gagawin ko lahat ng kaya ko para pareho kami ni Chynna,’” she shared.
Years into the relationship, they realized that it was wrong to have revolved their lives around each other, or anyone, for that matter.
“After mga ilang years, dun namin na-realize na ‘naku po, mali ang desisyon na ito,’” she added.
Although the relationship had to end, she’d like to think that they were able to settle their differences and remain good friends after.
“Since matagal kaming magkaibigan, naayos namin 'yun ng mabuti nung bandang dulo. Nagkaroon kami ng magandang closure,” she noted.
After hearing different stories of love, loss and second chances during the Basta Every Day Happy episode, the Dading star concluded how there is always hope.
“You can move forward and have a nice relationship with somebody that you really prayed for so para sa akin, parang masaya ako na meron pang chance na one day, baka magmahal ako ulit,” she said.
