Kapuso celebrity and super mom Chynna Ortaleza explains why the pros of cloth diapering outweigh the cons.

Many moms are hesitant to use cloth diapers because it obviously entails more time doing laundry, but Kapuso actress-TV host and mom of two Chynna Ortaleza believes the pros outnumbers the cons.

So, if you've been thinking about transitioning into cloth diapering but not quite convinced yet, read on to find out the advantages of using cloth diapers.

Reusable and environment-friendly

The number one benefit of using cloth diapers is of course being able to reduce waste and consequently helping save the environment. Moreover, since cloth diapers are reusable it can be passed on to others once your baby is done with potty training.

Prevents rashes

Diapers are notorious for giving babies skin rash as some of its materials can irritate their skin. Chynna attests that cloth diapers never gave Baby Salem any rash at all. So, she concludes that it is definitely safe for your baby's skin.

Saves you a lot of money

The long-term use of diapers will cost you a lot. So, even if you'll have more to wash, it's still practical to use cloth diapers if you want to cut on your budget and household expenses.

Chynna reiterated this point by saying, “Ang sinasabi ng mga cloth diapering advocates, you just need 24 cloth diapers and additional inserts for like the whole time that you're gonna cloth diaper your baby.”

Makes potty training easier

Another great advantage of using cloth diapers is that it will make potty training easier for you and your baby.LINK:

Chynna explains, “Because yung baby mas nagiging aware siya kapag nababasa yung diaper niya, the potty training gets to be easy.”

Aside from the advantages listed above, cloth diapers have definitely evolved over the years in terms of design and functionality.

So, now you don't have to worry about having to use safety pins for fastening because cloth diapers already have built-in snaps.

Also, your baby's cloth diaper will not easily get soaked because there's a pocket inside it where you can put inserts that will help absorb the wetness.

And finally, cloth diapers come in cute designs, so they're not as plain-looking as the traditional lampin.

So, if you want to lead a more eco-friendly lifestyle while cutting your budget, preventing baby rashes and making potty training easier at the same time, then you should really give cloth diapering a try. Good luck, mommies!
