The cast of the popular '90s youth-oriented show T.G.I.S. marked the series' 26th anniversary yesterday, August 12.
T.G.I.S., which ran from 1995 to 1999, was a huge hit among televiewers at that time.
On Instagram, it's director, Mark Reyes, posted a screenshot of a video conference with the former stars of the show .
Meanwhile Ciara Sotto uploaded throwback photos of her and her T.G.I.S. co-stars. She captioned it saying, “Happy 26th Anniversary to my TGiS Family! I miss you guys! Group hug!!! #alright #tgis #tgis26 #batang90s.”
For his part, Michael John Flores was in a celebratory mood when he marked the show's 26th anniversary via an Instagram Story.
In an interview with Angelu de Leon last September 2020, she was elated that the younger generation enjoys watching T.G.I.S..
She said then, “Nakakatuwa siya kasi gusto kong malaman kung ano 'yung iniisip nila.
"Dati 'pag napanood nila 'yung T.G.I.S. wala silang cell phone na nakikita,”
In addition, the versatile Kapuso actress feels that the topics or stories they tackled in the '90s show are still relevant up to this day.
Angelu told 24 Oras, “Malalim 'yung kuwento, maraming pinagdadaanan and bukod sa lahat, I think ito 'yung maiiwasan, e, everybody longs for a good relationship, good barkada,” aniya.
