Hugo Sotto, the son of Quezon City Vice Mayor Gian Sotto and Joy Woolbright, seems to be following his papa's footsteps as he decided to celebrate his 16th birthday to help the victims of Typhoon Ulysses.
Hugo, who was born on November 12, 2004, assisted his father as they roamed around Quezon City to deliver relief goods to those who were severely hit by the heavy storm.
Because of this, Hugo's aunt, Ciara Sotto, couldn't be prouder of him.
On Instagram, the actress said that she is in awe of the 16-year-old as he willingly volunteered to be of service to his fellowmen.
“Dearest Hugo, happy 16th birthday! I know you can't have the ideal celebration that a teenager like you would want right now. Still, I'm so proud of you for choosing to spend your birthday with those people who are so affected by this strong typhoon,” she wrote along with photos of the father and son in the streets of Quezon City.
“You have such a big heart, and you are such a wonderful blessing to our family.
“May you continue to be all that God wants you to be. I'll always be here for you. Love, Mama Nene.”
The incumbent Quezon City Vice Mayor also took the time to share his appreciation for his son when he posted their photo on Instagram before their relief operations in the city.
He said, “I am so blessed and grateful for this handsome young man beside me! Happy 16th birthday, Hugo!
“You are such a blessing to our family! I am so proud of you, anak.”
Gian continued, “I pray that God continues to bless you, your kind heart, and may He continue to let His Light Shine upon you! I know God has big plans for you! Just keep focus on Him and seek Him every day of your life.
“I love you so much, my son! @hugosotto12 #Sottogether.”
Hugo Sotto is the eldest son of Gian and Joy. They have five other children, namely Edrigu, Sancho, Rossano, Amari, and Domiku.
