Former Kapwa Ko, Mahal Ko host, Cielito ‘Mahal’ del Mundo, passed away last January 9 in her home in Phoenix, Arizona.

Former actress and Kapwa Ko, Mahal Ko host Cielito ‘Mahal’ del Mundo passed away last January 9, according to a report from 24 Oras.

She suffered from a heart attack in their home in Phoenix, Arizona, where she has been living for over a decade now, together with her three kids.

Aside from show business, Mahal also ventured into humanitarian work and politics. She was chairman of an NGO she founded called the Mahal Foundation and was a councilor in Quezon City.

Because of her humanitarian endeavors, she was considered as the Bob Hope of the Philippines.

She was 80 years old.
