
Late actor Rico Yan may have long passed away, but his memory to those who left behind continues to live on as former girlfriend Claudine Barretto marked his 46th birthday on Sunday, March 14.
On Instagram, The 41-year-old actress held a feast at her home as a way to remember him.
She said in one of her posts, “So since it's the birthday of Rico [Yan], we wanted to celebrate and remember him kaya magkakaroon kami ng konting salu-salo dito sa bahay.”
The actress's friends and family members joined her in prayer and song as Claudine greeted her ex-boyfriend.
“Happy birthday, Rico,” she said.
“We love you, and we will not forget you. Just keep watching over us. In Jesus' mighty name. Amen.”

Aside from Claudine, other celebrity friends of Rico Yan also commemorated his birthday by sharing photos from their memories and said how they missed his presence.
Actor Dominic Ochoa wrote on his Instagram account, “It's something we have in common, our passion for cars and bikes.
“Taken Sunday after his birthday, more than 30 cars joined, his last fun run to Tags. We switched cars. He drove my [Mini] Cooper, and I drove his HKS turbo Miata. Fun times, buddy! Happy, happy RY. #march172002 #philippineautosportcouncil.”
Meanwhile, restaurateur and actor Marvin Agustin shared a clip of one of his films with Rico, which he transformed into a TikTok video.
Rico Yan died of cardiac arrest due to acute hemorrhagic pancreatitis back on March 29, 2002. He was found dead inside his hotel room by Dominic Ochoa at the Dos Palmas Resort in Puerto Princesa in Palawan.
Since his untimely death, Claudine has always declared her love for him in various social media posts.
