Who could Claudine Barretto be referring to as a “hypocrite” in her cryptic posts?
Actress Claudine Barretto triggered the curiosity of her 1.4 million followers on Instagram after she posted a series of cryptic messages on the social media site.
On December 12, the actress posted a quote about preferring to be an “honest sinner” instead of being a “lying hypocrite.”
“Hypocrites,” wrote Claudine in capital letters in the caption.
She then followed up the post with another cryptic message that said, “Some people aren't really all that they 'post' to be.”
“Practice what you preach,” she said in the caption.
Both posts did not indicate as to whom Claudine was referring to.
The actress is currently in a rift with her estranged husband Raymart Santiago after it was reported that she plans to file against him for supposedly failing to meet their agreed child support terms.
In a report by Pep, Claudine's complaint will include Raymart's alleged breach of the Violence Against Women and Children Act or RA 9262 and economic abuse.
The report quoted Claudine's lawyer, Atty. Ferdinand Topacio, who said, “Hindi nagbibigay ng sustento si Raymart. Ang tagal na. Nagbibigay siguro ng 14 thousand [pesos] a month, ganun. 'Tapos, wala na.”
According to Atty. Topacio, Raymart was supposed to provide PhP 100,000 a month for support.
“Before in court, meron na silang pinirmahan na 100 thousand [pesos] a month -- na puwede-puwede na rin, although insufficient pa rin. But even that, hindi natutupad, kaya we have to file a case against him."
At the time, Claudine and Raymart were scheduled to meet at the Marikina City Prosecutor's Office on December 10.
However, no development was reported about the said meeting in any news media outlet.
Besides Raymart, Claudine is also not on good terms with her sister Marjorie Barretto, with whom she had an altercation with during their father's wake last year.
Claudine Barretto married Raymart Santiago in March 2006. The two had two children named Sabina and Santino but later divorced in 2013. She later adopted her third child named Quia.
While Claudine remained single, romance seems to be brewing for the other party as Raymart Santiago was seen with actress Jodi Sta. Maria later this year.
On October 1, talent manager and broadcaster Noel Ferrer posted a photo of the couple being sweet and intimate with each other in a very romantic setting.
Noel wrote in the caption, “We are happy that you are happy! @raymartsantiago @jodistamaria. God bless you both.”
