Claudine Barretto just made a heartwarming reveal as she reintroduced herself with a new surname.

The actress took to Instagram to share a clip showing how she found a family in Rico Yan's mother, Sita, along with a collection of her and Rico's most special and touching moments.

In the video, Claudine shared that while she has already moved on, Rico still holds a special place in her heart.

“It's not about Rico anymore. It's about my love & relationship with his Mom, who now accepted me as her daughter,” she said.

She added, ”So @tinamarieyan @gerryytee & I are now 'REAL SISTERS.' I can now say I am not just Claudine Barretto. I am now Claudine Barretto YAN.”

Claudine proudly declared that she is now “Sita Yan's daughter” and feels “blessed” to be loved by the Yan family.

She also revealed that Rico can now “rest” as she has finally found forgiveness and discovered “real family.”

The actress added as she finally let go of Rico, “We now have each other to take good care of. You can now fly with your beautiful dimple-faced smile. As I let you go, I carry all the love & beautiful memories with me in my heart till infinity & beyond. Rest now, my sweet Prince. I love you, always have & forever till eternity & beyond will.”

In the comments section, Rico's sister, Tina, expressed her support for Claudine as a new part of their family.

“Always has been for us. God is good,” Tina wrote.

Claudine was Rico's last girlfriend before his passing in 2002.

She and Rico remain one of the most iconic love teams of the 1990s and 2000s, having starred in several memorable films, including Got 2 Believe and Dahil Mahal Na Mahal Kita.
