Claudine Barretto reminded everyone to forgive before it's too late, following the passing of her and Marjorie Barretto's older brother, Mito, with whom the former had recently reconciled.
Claudine Barretto is heartbroken over her older brother Mito's passing, following their heartfelt reconciliation.
"I can't believe you left us this soon. My heart & soul is broken. Rest in paradise where there is no pain. I love you always and forever will," the actress wrote in her Instagram post on Wednesday, September 23.
Claudine thanked her nephew Mark, Mito's son, for mending her relationship with her sibling before he passed away. "When we reconciled, you swallowed your pride & said you're sorry. I didn't know that was already goodbye. I thank God & Mark for fixing us before leaving because I might've never forgiven myself if we weren't okay."
Back in June, Claudine stated that she is pursuing legal action due to threats she has allegedly received amid her rift with her brother. However, it didn't push through after her nephew intervened, she revealed in a separate post.
She said their feud eventually led to healing after Mito communicated with her to express he was extremely sorry. She lamented, "We talked again 2x then yesterday happened."
In the midst of her mourning, Claudine reminded her followers to forgive before time runs out. "I'm just saying while our loved ones are here, please APOLOGIZE, FORGIVE GENUINELY. Our family may not be normal but we say I love you a lot so please if you love or if anyone asks for our forgiveness, let's forgive & hug them as tight as we can because tomorrow we might not be here anymore."
Claudine then concluded the post with an apology to her late brother, "Mito, I'm so so sorry again. I swear to take care of Connie, Mark, & John especially our apos. It was a privilege to have had you as my kuya. Forgive me again & I love you so much."
Meanwhile, Claudine's sister Marjorie also took to social media to pay tribute to their brother after his sudden death.
Marjorie confided in grief, "The pain of losing you is unbearable, Mito. I didn't know a life without you… and now I must learn to."
