CNN Philippines goes off-air for at least 24 hours after a confirmed COVID-19 patient visited the building where they hold office and operations.

News TV network CNN Philippines, the fifth local franchise of CNN in Asia has announced that they will have to stop their broadcast operation in the meantime after the building where they are located was visited by one person who tested positive from the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

In an article published on their official website, CNN Philippines shared the information given to them by the management of the Worldwide Corporate Center, which is located along Shaw Boulevard in Mandaluyong City.

"The management of the Worldwide Corporate Center along Shaw Boulevard in Mandaluyong City-- where CNN Philippines is housed -- will be disinfecting the building occupied by a number of other companies.

"We have prepared for this emergency. For more than two weeks, many of our colleagues have been isolated and working from home already,"

CNN Philippines divulged that they will be off the air for at least 24 hours, but they promised that they will continue to relay relevant news and information through their social media accounts.

So far there are at least 193 persons who have been infected by COVID-19 based on the reports released by the Department of Health (DOH) today, March 18.
