There's a new sergeant and reservist in town, and it's none other than Kapuso actress Coleen Perez!
The Third is My First actress announced the great news on Instagram as she wore her military uniform and flaunted her diploma to fans.
“This is not just a normal photo, but rather it is hard-earned,” she wrote in the caption.
“[I] went through it all! This pushed me to discover a lot of things I didn't even expect I am capable of. [It] tested not only my physical limits but also the limits of my mind.”
Coleen continued, “Being voted by my mates as the flight leader, then the president is not an easy job because being a leader means you have to be strong so you can lead and look out that everybody is okay.
“I was constantly telling myself, 'Ikaw ang pinaka pwede hindi sumuko.'
“As the PAF slogan says, 'Take the lead, soar as one.'”
Coleen dedicated her diploma to her teachers and batchmates who were with her during her military training.
“This is not the end but just the beginning. As your Bagwislawin BCMT 2020 Class President, a snappy salute to you all,” she concluded.
Apart from Coleen, many celebrities have already become a member of the Philippines' Reserved Forces.
Most recently, it was actress Arci Muñoz who also earned her title of sergeant under the same branch of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).
