Wacky Kiray

What does Wacky Kiray check before extending financial help to a friend?

Comedian Wacky Kiray opened up on the program Your Honor about how his family connections grew once he started earning from showbiz.

According to Wacky, back when life was tough, “Wala silang malapitan na kamag-anak kahit man lang makahingi ng makakain," he said.

But as he began appearing on TV shows and performing, relatives started reaching out, with some even inviting him to perform at birthday parties.

Wacky also revealed that he is careful when lending money to friends.

“Tandaan ninyo bago kayo magpautang sa mga kaibigan n'yo o hindi n'yo pa kilala mag-research kayo,” he advised.

If a friend asks to borrow money, Wacky says he usually contacts a mutual friend to confirm the request.

When a friend mentions things like, “Te, may utang pa sa akin 'yan saka may bisyo 'yan, nagsusugal 'yan, ganito ganyan,” Wacky won't lend money and will simply explain he has bills to pay. Still, he encourages them with a simple “kapit lang.”

In a video, Wacky also shows how he “got back” at a relative who once ignored him but later invited him to perform at their birthday. Watch the clip to see the story unfold.
