Na-appreciate ng American TV host and comedian na si Conan O'Brien ang mainit na pagtanggap ng Pinoy fans sa kanya nang pumunta siya sa Pilipinas para sa kanyang travel show.
Nothing but praises sa mga Pinoy ang American TV host and comedian na si Conan O'Brien na bumisita sa Pilipinas para mag-shoot ng kanyang travel show na Conan O'brien Must Go.
Sa panayam ni Nelson Canlas kay Conan para sa 24 Oras, ikinuwento ng huli kung bakit Pilipinas ang napili niyang susunod na i-feature sa kanyang programa.
Sabi niya, "We've known for a while we have a fanbase in the Philippines and we see so much social activity here and response, and so we thought we need to go. We need to visit and we wanna do one of our shows here."
Ayon pa kay Conan, na-appreciate niya ang mainit na pagtanggap ng mga Pinoy sa kanya.
"From the moment we landed, everybody has been so gracious, so polite. They're funny and that doesn't happen in every country. The people in the Philippines are very funny, warmhearted, and they have great ideas and they are quick."
Bitin si Conan sa kanyang one-week stay sa Pilipinas pero, aniya, willing siyang bumalik sa bansa.
Pero kahit bilang lang ang araw niya sa Pilipinas, nakapag-shoot pa siya kasama sina Dennis Trillo at Jennylyn Mercado para sa GMA Prime series na Sanggang-Dikit FR na napili niyang gawan ng cameo appearance.
Sa kanilang eksena, maaksyon ang tagpo sa pagitan ni Conan at ng Kapuso couple na gumaganap na mga pulis sa serye. Si Conan, nakasuot pa ng polo shirt na tila tela ng kumot.
Kumusta naman kaya ang kanyang first Philippine teleserye experience?
Sagot ng American celebrity, "This was incredible. They sent us the script, very good writing, loved it. They seem to understand that I'm silly, fool. They made me a mad man. They beat me up."
Biro pa niya, "Trust me, a lot of people in Hollywood wanna beat me up so it's the same as true in the Philippines."
Pinuri rin ni Conan ang kanyang mga kaeksena na sina Dennis at Jennylyn. "The actors are so good and they made me very welcome here," ika niya.
Samantala, nakatanggap din ng surprise video greeting si Michael V. mula kay Conan para sa ika-30 anibersaryo ng comedy gag show niyang Bubble Gang.
