Seasoned actress and TV host Coney Reyes is now a Kapuso after signing a contract for the upcoming primetime series, 'Ang Dalawang Mrs. Real'.

Seasoned actress and TV host Coney Reyes is now a Kapuso after signing a contract for the upcoming primetime series, Ang Dalawang Mrs. Real.

The contract signing was held on May 15 at the GMA Network Center and attended by the top officers of the Network.

Present during the contract signing were GMA Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Atty. Felipe L. Gozon and Vice President for Drama Productions Redgie Acuña-Magno.

The former Eat Bulaga host said that Ang Dalawang Mrs. Real came as a blessing for her. What is it about the project that made her accept it?

“Ms. Redgie Magno convinced me. She really didn’t have to do much convincing. I prayed about it and I felt that the Lord, at this time in my 40th anniversary, wanted me to parang siguro bumalik doon sa aking pinagsimulan,” she said.

The well-respected actress will be breathing life into the character of Sonia Real. Of her role, she said, “Ako ‘yung original na Mrs. Real. I play the mom of Dingdong. She’s a very loving and protective mother.”

Ms. Coney had nothing but good things to say about her on-screen son, Dingdong Dantes. She stated, “I love working with him. Sobrang gaan ng pakiramdam ko sa kanya. I love him already like my own son.”

She expressed her excitement on working with the Diamond Star, Maricel Soriano again after many years.

“Maricel is the usual kalog. The first time we saw each other on set, siyempre, ang ingay namin. Mahusay na artista talaga si Maricel, no doubt about it. She has proven that over and over again,” she said.

The actress-TV host added that she is looking forward to meeting Kapuso actress, Lovi Poe, who is one of the lead stars of the show.
