Asian rom-com lovers are in for a treat this October as romantic comedy film Crazy Rich Asians lands on Netflix Philippines' Coming Soon list.

Crazy Rich Asians tells the story of Rachel Chu (Constance Wu), a New York native professor who travels to Singapore to meet her boyfriend Nick Young's (Henry Golding) family. The film is based on the fictional novel of the same title written by Singaporean author Kevin Kwan. The movie adaptation was directed by John M. Chu under Warner Bros. Pictures and premiered in 2018. It is the first among the Crazy Rich Asians book trilogy--followed by China Rich Girlfriend and Rich People Problems.

Kevin Kwan's latest book, Sex and Vanity is also reported to have a film adaptation currently in development.
