Cristine Reyes said she and fiancé Gio Tingson are already eyeing a possible wedding date following their recent engagement announcement.
In an interview on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, the actress shared that they are considering tying the knot either later this year or in the first quarter of 2027.
“May date na. Baka next year po, first quarter, if not this year,” she said.
According to Cristine, some of their loved ones have already expressed interest in becoming part of their wedding entourage.
“Meron nang nagvo-volunteer [na] ninong, ninang sila,” she shared.
The actress announced her engagement to Gio on May 20 through social media, where she wrote, “Every timeline led here. Endgame unlocked.”
Cristine later explained the meaning behind the caption, saying their relationship felt destined despite the different stages and paths they went through in life.
“Parang symbolic siya for me and Gio dahil lahat ng stages ng buhay namin, nagtatagpo kami tapos until the very end kami pa rin pala hanggang sa huli,” she said.
Cristine also recalled that she first met Gio during grade school at a school fair, and the two stayed connected over the years through mutual friends.
She admitted there had always been “tension” between them, but timing and past relationships prevented anything from happening sooner.
Eventually, the two reconnected when they were both single.
The actress also opened up about Gio's intimate proposal, which happened at home before they attended church together.
According to Cristine, she already had a feeling about what was about to happen after seeing Gio carrying a small paper bag and acting unusually serious.
When Gio finally got down on one knee and asked her to marry him, Cristine became emotional and burst into tears before eventually saying yes.
