The newest intense family drama, “Cruz vs. Cruz,” is finally airing on GMA Afternoon Prime, and it's getting all the hype and positive feedback from viewers!
As seen in its pilot airing yesterday (July 21), Felma (Vina Morales) and Manuel (Neil Ryan Sese) are struggling to provide for the medical needs of their daughter, Andrea. Because of this, Manuel decides to work in Saudi Arabia, bidding a tearful goodbye to his family.
The episode also introduces Hazel (Gladys Reyes), a Filipina nurse saved by Manuel from a near-accident. In a separate scene, Hazel admits to her friend that she is pregnant. Hazel worries because it is illegal to be an unwed mother in Saudi Arabia.
Later on, Hazel and Manuel cross their paths again at a party, where she plans to seduce him and soon, entangle him in a complicated and unplanned marriage. Meanwhile in the Philippines, Felma and her children have no idea that their biggest heartbreak is about to unfold.
The turn of events was both surprising and thrilling to viewers. Based on some comments on GMA Network's YouTube channel, “Unang episode pa lang tumutulo na agad luha ko. Kinakabahan ako kay Hazel for sure lalabas ang tunay niyang ugali sa mga susunod na episode. Hindi naman pala anak ni Manuel 'yung anak ni Hazel. Nakakalungkot masisira pa pamilya niya sa Pinas.”
Other netizens added, “Ang tagal kong inantay ang palabas na 'to finally may aabangan ulit tuwing hapon. Another perfect series from GMA! Ang huhusay ng mga artista! Sobrang makatotohanan ang kuwento. May mga kakilala akong nag-abroad at nasira ang pamilya dahil sa tukso. Sad reality pero ang daming makaka-relate dito.”
It's only the beginning of a unique story about family, love, and sacrifices. Stay tuned to “Cruz vs. Cruz,” weekdays at 3:20 p.m. on GMA Afternoon Prime and Kapuso Stream.
Global Pinoys can also catch the program via GMA Pinoy TV. For more stories about the Kapuso Network, visit www.GMANetwork.com.
