
Breakout band Cup of Joe emerged as the most-listened-to Filipino artist on Spotify in 2025, with their standout hit “Multo” also taking the crown as the year's most-streamed local song.
Spotify rolled out its annual rankings on Thursday, revealing the top five local artists, groups, and tracks. Cup of Joe dominated across all categories, securing the No. 1 spot in each, an impressive feat that reflects their growing influence and strong hold on Filipino listeners.
In the rankings for top local artists, December Avenue landed in second place, followed by Arthur Nery in third, Dionela in fourth, and TJ Monterde rounding out the list at fifth.
Cup of Joe's “Multo,” an emotional synth-pop tune reflecting on the heaviness of past relationship memories, emerged as Spotify's most-streamed local song.
Earl Agustin's “Tibok” secured the second spot, followed by Dionela's “Marilag” in third place. Amiel Sol's “Sa Bawat Sandali,” which gained attention through the hit series Ang Mutya ng Section E, came in fourth, while hip-hop artist Hellmerry's “My Day” completed the top five.
Spotify Philippines also revealed its most popular podcasts for 2025. Leading the pack was Barangay LS 97.1's "Barangay Love Stories", with "Papa Dudut Stories" taking second place. Relationship-focused "Will Talks" ranked third, followed by Dear MOR in fourth. Rounding out the top five was "Sitio Bangungot: Pinoy Horror Stories" for Sleep Podcast, a show featuring chilling Filipino horror tales.
