Danica has been juggling between being a mom and a wife. Aside from work, she also spends her time assisting her kids in their homeschooling for three years now.

Here are some of her tips on how to effectively carry out such tasks:

Preparing menu for the week

Danica said that it's better to buy ingredients that you can use for all the dishes you're going to prepare. She cited beef as an example as it can be cooked in different ways.

“Buy ingredients na magagamit mo for all the dishes that you will prepare.

"Kumbaga, you have one ingredient pero pwede mo siyang laru-laruin,” she said.

Grocery shopping under the new normal

It would be best to shop online to avoid contact with people. But if it can't be avoided, try to buy supplies, as much as possible, that will last for weeks.

“Kung kaya i-online, i-online. Kung hindi kayang mag-online, ayaw n'yo talagang mag-online.

"What I do, kami ni Marc, we buy maramihan na para 'di na pabalik-balik,” she noted.

On budgeting

The mom of two shared that she and her husband, professional basketball player Marc Pingris, really plan their expenses.

“If it's something na we don't need, pinag-iisipan muna namin nang mabuti,” she added.

On homeschooling

Danica related that homeschooling depends on how much time parents can give to be able to teach their children at home accordingly.

“Depends kasi on how much of your time you can give.

"May homeschool din kasi na naka-online rin, na parang all the modules are online and then the parent will have to give a few activities to the kids and they discuss, so depende,” she said.
