After a video of him having speech difficulty goes viral, Governor Daniel Fernando gives a health update.
Many were alarmed after seeing the now viral video of Bulacan governor Daniel Fernando. In the clip, the actor-turned-politician was at an event for the Singkaban Fiesta held at the Bulacan capitol gymnasium last September 11 when he started to show difficulty in speaking. Netizens were quick to speculate that Governor Fernando suffered a stroke.
The Bulacan provincial government released a statement that aired on '24 Oras' stating that: “Noong Lunes, Setyembre 11, 2023 ng gabi matapos mag-opisina (People's Day) ng Gob. Daniel R. Fernando, at siya ring founder ng DFMI ay pumunta sa isang event sa Bulacan Capital gymnasium at doon ay may kakaibang naramdaman.”
The Bulacan provincial public affairs office also gave an update about the condition of the actor/politician saying that the governor already had a checkup with his cardiologist Dr. Berwyn Flores.
Meanwhile, Dr. Flores issued a medical bulletin stating that “The recent irregularity to his action in an event was due to exhaustion, over fatigue and dehydration.”
Yesterday (September 13), the governor took to social media to assure the public of his current condition. “Mga kababayan kong Bulakenyo, huwag po kayo mag-aalala. Wala pong nangyari sa akin, walang nangyaring stroke ano po. Basta nagpapahinga lang po ako. Thank you.”
