Kapamilya artist Darren Espanto is the newest member of the growing It's Showtime family.
He was formally introduced as co-host of the noontime variety program during the “It's Showtime sa GMA The Contract Signing” in March. In one of his Instagram posts, Darren expressed his gratitude to his It's Showtime family for welcoming him and trusting him to be a part of their family.
In an interview with GMANetwork.com, Darren described being a part of It's Showtime family as “surreal” and “unexpected.”
“Unexpected po siya. I'm very grateful sa lahat ng mga pangyayari and I've always felt like I've been part of the 'It's Showtime' family kasi isa sa mga unang guesting ko po after 'The Voice Kids' was here sa [It's] Showtime. Ten years ago pa 'yon. So ngayon, from being a guest, to a hurado, to a host, it just feels surreal,” he said in an interview with GMANetwork.com.
When asked which Kapuso show he wants to make a guest appearance on, Darren said he wishes to play on Family Feud Philippines with his It's Showtime family.
“Gusto ko ma-try 'Family Feud' ulit kasi nasubukan ko siya dati pa nung nandito pa siya sa ABS. Gusto ko ring maulit naman siguro with my 'It's Showtime' family din kasi malay natin magkaroon ng second batch na sasali,” he expressed.
It can be recalled that It's Showtime hosts Vice Ganda, Anne Curtis, Vhong Navarro, Jhong Hilario, Amy Perez, Ogie Alcasid, Jugs Jugueta, and Teddy Corpuz were the guest celebrity players of Family Feud Philippines last April 8.
