Manolo Pedrosa on Pauline Mendoza: “It's just a pleasure to work with Pauline kasi sobrang galing niya."
Stunning Kapuso drama actress Pauline Mendoza was well applauded by her co-stars in her afternoon prime series Babawiin Ko Ang Lahat, especially her leading men, Dave Bornea and Manolo Pedrosa.
Pauline, who is set to showcase her acting prowess as Iris will also be joined by several bankable actors including Carmina Villarroel, John Estrada, and Tanya Garcia-Lapid.
In the recent media conference of the Babawiin Ko Ang Lahat stars, Pauline was thankful to be given the chance to work with Dave and Manolo, who were her source of motivation during her heavy scenes in the soap.
Pauline told the entertainment press, “Si Dave and si Manolo,actually po kasi si Manolo na kasama ko na siya sa workshops. As an actor alam ko kung paano 'yung mag-deliver ng craft si Manolo parang kabisado ko na siya.
“Nakasama ko si Dave sa Alyas Robinhood pero doon wala kaming love interest, friends lang kami sa show na 'yun. So this time sa Babawiin Ko Ang Lahat ayun naging love interest ko na si Dave and si Manolo.
“Pero sa story po na ito mas nagka-love interest ako kay Dave and building a relationship with Dave madali siya.
"Si Dave and Manolo parehas silang professional when it comes to acting, when it comes to working with them as co-actors very professional sila, whenever were are all in the set. Ready sila to work, they are all focused.
“And as Iris Salvador 'yung mga eksena ko kasi halos everyday umiiyak ako, mabibigat 'yung mga eksena ko, nandiyan sila to help me motivate and madali sila katrabaho.”
Meanwhile, StarStruck heartthrob Dave Bornea was impressed by Pauline's professionalism during their lock-in taping in Batangas.
He added, “Si Pauline naman po, napaka-solid as in. Noong una medyo nangangapa pa of course, pero itong lock-in taping, ito talaga 'yung nagpa-buo sa amin, as in kumportable kami sa isa't-isa.
“Mas lalo noong tuluy-tuloy na 'yung mga taping, wala naman po problema kay Pauline napaka-professional, napaka-gaan kasama,”
Manolo seconded Dave's statement and pointed out that Pauline really worked hard to execute all her scenes in Babawiin Ko Ang Lahat.
“Same with Pauline, solid na kami ni Pauline because nagka-workshop kami and in the acting workshop doon namin nilalabas 'yung vulnerabilities namin, 'yung craft namin and in the workshop you have to develop that bond and trust, e,
“Your revealing your character is, so before we started shooting the show solid na kami. Mas lalo na naging solid kami sa taping, because of course lock-in, we see everyday, we worked with each other everyday.”
“It's just a pleasure to work with Pauline kasi sobrang galing niya, because there are times in Unit 2, kasi there's only one cam, we have to take different angles and most of her scenes are crying. So, she has to repeat that same scene over-and-over again to create the same effect.
“And that's really hard as actor, so much props to Pauleen and for me as an actor, ang sarap ng trabaho ko, kasi I just have to react to Pauline and it's there.
“I already feel it, so big pleasure to work with Pauline.”
What makes Babawiin Ko Ang Lahat an exciting show to watch for?
During the same media conference with the press, Babawiin Ko Ang Lahat executive producer Nieva S. Magpayo shared what their soap will offers to televiewers starting February.
“So paano ipakita 'yung kung ano 'yung dapat na kultura ng isang pamilyang Pilipino, so that thing will help na maipakita namin sa audience na ito 'yung gustong ipakita noong serye.
“Although medyo mabigat siya, pero at the same time makikita nila kung ano 'yung rason kung bakit ganoon katindi noong drama ng Babawiin Ko Ang Lahat, kasi mayroon siya gustong kuhanin, dahil nawala sa kanya.
“So ito 'yung kanyang pagpapakita ng lakas, si Iris [Pauline Mendoza] bilang babae, na from young lady na nagkaroon siya ng struggle and then pinilit niya na maging isang mature na nilalang, [mature] na babae para kuhanin kung ano 'yung dapat para sa kanya at bawiin 'yung family niya mula doon sa mga kumuha noon sa kanya.”
