Actor, model and entrepreneur David Licauco is on the prime of his showbiz career, but the Kapuso chinito heartthrob is also enjoying his time outside of show business.
In fact, the Pambansang Ginoo together with Pinoy Big Brother housemate Dustin Yu will be participating in a basketball exhibition game--the two Kapuso actors will be part of Team Philippines' Kuys Showtime that will be competing against Team South Korea Rising Eagles.
Some of the players of Rising Eagles feature K-pop idols Minho of SHINEE and Johnny of NCT. The 'Shoot of Asia' basketball game is slated on October 26 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.
David told 24 Oras that 2025 was turning out to be awesome because he got the chance to play the sport he loves in front of a big crowd in a huge venue. Prior to becoming an artista, he was part of the varsity team of Dela La Salle College of Saint Benilde.
“This year has been a lot of basketball for me, which makes me really-really happy. So, parang ever since naman I kept on training e,” the Sparkle actor said.
“Pero like ngayon at least meron ng avenue for me to actually showcase my skills.”
In addition, the Kapuso actor also traveled to Singapore to watch the exciting F1 race.
What was it like witnessing such a big sporting event?
“I met a lot of people, 'yung whole F1 experience is not just watching sports. It's like a real event you know na ang daming festivities and yeah, just really-really happy.”
Catch David Licauco in a new series Never Say Die with Jillian Ward, Raheel Bhyria, and Kim Ji Soo soon on GMA-7.
