Actor David Licauco fulfilled a dream as he faced veteran players in a recent basketball tournament
David Licauco fulfilled his dream of joining a basketball tournament and even competing against several veteran players last Saturday.
According to Athena Imperial's report on 24 Oras Weekend that same day, before this event, David was already known as a “ball is life” kind of guy since he would still play basketball even while on vacation in Siargao.
He also dedicated time to training despite being busy with taping for his upcoming action series Never Say Die with Jillian Ward.
“Full day of action kami kahapon. Biglang andito na ako ngayon. Medyo masakit na 'yung katawan ko,” said the Pambansang Ginoo.
In the tournament he joined, David and his team went up against veteran basketball players.
“I think their import is playing in Europe, he's 6'11". I'm 5'11",” David said with a laugh.
“Like any other Filipino kid, basketball naman talaga 'yung pangarap. So 'yun din ako. So now, at my age, being able to play at this level, talagang nakakataba ng puso and it's something that I'll never forget. The level is definitely different from where I play. So I have to keep on going,” he added.
