Kapuso primetime actor David Licauco is ready to surprise everyone again via his new comedy film Samahan Ng Mga Makasalanan.

The Pambansang Ginoo will play the role of Deacon Sam in the movie, who was assigned on a mission to reform the residents of Sto. Kristo.

David spoke to 24 Oras during the grand media conference of Samahan Ng Mga Makasalanan last March 27 to share his thoughts about this exciting project.

“It was exciting for me to say the least, kasi siyempre again you are portraying a different character and alam mo 'yun like kailangan ka ba magiging pari sa buhay mo.”

The Sparkle hottie, a self-confessed introvert, admitted that it was pretty challenging to do this project with several high-caliber actors and comedy talents in the cast.

“Hindi naman ako suplado, introvert lang. I try my best, but then sometimes talagang pupunta pa rin ako sa sariling sulok ko at mananahimik.”

GMA Senior Vice President and GMA Pictures President Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes showered the movie with lots of praises and assured everyone who will see it starting April 19 that they will leave the cinema smiling.

The Kapuso executive explained, “Sobrang nakakatuwa, pero heartwarming din at maiiyak ka rin at times.”

“Dahil makikita mo na sa kahit anong sitwasyon laging may pag-asa magbago ang mga tao. Don't lose hope and it's very feel good movie talaga. Kaya lalabas ka ng sinehan naka-smile.”

Joining David Licauco in this comedic crusade are Sanya Lopez, Joel Torre, David Shouder, Soliman Cruz, Betong Sumaya, Buboy Villar, Chariz Solomon, Liezel Lopez, Jade Tecson, Jun Sabayton, Chanty Videla, Jay Ortega, Christian Singsong, Shernan Gaite, Batmanunulat (Jerome Lois Esguerra), Tito Abdul (David Domanais), Tito Marsy (Christian Kimp-Atip), Yian Gabriel, Liana Mae, and child star Euwenn Mikaell.
