The music video complements the song's themes with its dynamic visuals. It began with the band members covered in snow, symbolizing the emptiness and coldness of their hearts. As the song progressed, the video transitioned to vibrant colors and warmth as it transformed into a joyous celebration.

As of this writing, "Melt Down" has garnered over two million views and 69,000 likes within 24 hours of its release. Fans of the band, known as Mydays, have expressed their excitement on X (formerly Twitter), even trending the group on the platform.

"Melt Down" is the title track of DAY6's ninth mini-album, Band Aid. It followed their previous release, Fourever, which marked their return after a hiatus from their mandatory military service.

In addition to their album, DAY6 will celebrate their 9th anniversary with a mini-fan meeting on September 7. They are also preparing for their “Forever Young” world tour, starting in Incheon, South Korea, from September 20 to 22. Manila is set to be part of their tour on February 22, 2025 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. This will mark their third visit to the Philippines, following memorable concerts last 2018 and 2019.

Day6 is currently a four-member group consisting of Young K, Wonpil, Sungjin, and Dowoon. They are known for their heartfelt and iconic songs, which are admired and covered by many K-pop stars. Some of their hits include "Congratulations," "Welcome to the Show," "Time of Our Life," "You Were Beautiful," and more.
