The newly-crowned Miss Universe 2017 visited the country together with Miss Universe 2016 Iris Mittenaere and Miss Universe president Paula Shugart.

In an interview with State of The Nation, Demi-Leigh has nothing but kind words for the warm welcome she received in the country.

She said, “Everybody is so warm and welcoming. This is I’ve seen on social media and to experience at first hand is so special.”

In addition, the South African beauty queen was also amazed with the incredible make-up transformation of Eat Bulaga host Paolo Ballesteros as Demi-Sorya.

“Wow! You can actually see that. That’s very good! That is very good!”
