Pagbibidahan nina Dennis Trillo and Marian Rivera ang isang Lenten special drama titled "Sugat ng Kahapon." Itong darating na April 11 (Black Saturday), ay mapapanood natin siya kasama ang isa namang paboritong aktres na si Marian Rivera. “Sugat ng Kahapon,” Dennis portrays the role of Sonny, isang retarded na kapitbahay ng battered woman na si Hilda (played by Marian). They will find comfort in each other amid the chaos and complexities of their lives. "First time ko gumanap [bilang isang] mentally retarded [person]. Pero medyo nabigla ako kasi konti lang 'yung preparasyon -- pero ok naman. Maganda 'yung kinalabasan,” he says. "May thin line ang being nakakatawa na convincing, kaya dapat safe ka lang lagi -- kasi minsan parang OA, minsan parang nagpapatawa so medyo mahirap,” dagdag pa ni Dennis about this role which is one of his dream roles. And for this, he was given acting praises and even earned him a nomination for the category of 'Best Drama Performance by an Actor' during the 12th Asian Television Awards in 2007. Expect no less than another exceptional performance from Dennis and of course, Marian Rivera as well. They last worked together in the telefantasya series, Super Twins.
