There's no college rivalry in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Revilla.
Although coming from two of the biggest schools in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines--rival schools Ateneo and La Salle, it seems Dennise Lazaro and LA Revilla are a perfect match.
And yesterday, January 28, the couple marked their first wedding anniversary.
Dennise, a former star player of the Ateneo volleyball program, looked back on their first year as husband and wife, which she described as a “crazy ride.”
She posted on Instagram, “I'm truly lucky to have married my best friend. Our first year of marriage was a crazy ride to say the least. Just imagine what the rest of our life together has in store for us!
“But I want to remind you that I'll always be here for you, I'll never leave your side. No matter what comes, my love for you will never be less.”
LA, who suited up for the De La Salle Green Archers during his collegiate days, posted a simple message for his beautiful wife on the day of their anniversary.
“To more bad days & good days and everything in between. Happy 1 year my [heart emoji]”
Revilla is now part of the PBA team NorthPort Batang Pier.
In an exclusive interview with Metro.style, Dennise shared that she wanted just a classic/ rustic theme for the wedding ceremony, which was held at Bella Rose Garden in Silang, Cavite.
According to the volleyball star, "We wanted something simple and laidback, so we chose to have a classic/rustic theme,"
"We really wanted an intimate wedding with just family and friends. It was pretty set at the start to have an out of town wedding. But of course, we wanted our venue to be accessible so we chose to have it in Tagaytay.
"It was a must for us that our guests were comfortable as well. We made sure the chapel and the reception venue [would] be close to each other.
