Masaya daw ang bagong Kapuso na si hunk actor Derek Ramsay dahil matiyaga siyang hinintay ng GMA Network bago siya pumirma ng isang eksklusibong kontrata dito.
Bago kasi nito, plano niyang maging isang professional golfer. Bukod dito, na-operahan pa siya sa kanyang likod.
"They gave me the time to prepare my mind, my body to start working here in GMA," pahayag ni Derek.
"The way they approached me and my family, it was with so much respect," dagdag pa nito.
Isa daw sa mga nagpadali ng kanyang desisyon na pumirma sa Kapuso Network ay ang mga 'risks' nito sa paggawa ng mga teleserye.
"What I noticed with Kapuso is you guys like to take risks. It's not just the same thing put on the table all the time. I love the fact that they take risks," ani Derek.
Alinsunod daw kasi ito sa pilosopiya niya sa buhay.
"That's what I do with my life. It gets me in trouble. But you know what? It's gotten me to where I am, because the bigger the risk you take, the bigger success. If you fail, you can learn from that mistake so that you don't make it again the next time you take a big risk," pahayag ng aktor.
Confident daw siya na maibibigay ng GMA Network ang hinahanap niya.
"I'm a risk taker. I like challenging projects. I like to try new things. That's what I know GMA can provide," aniya.
Pumirma si Derek ng eksklusibong kontrata sa GMA Network noong April 3. Nakatakda siyang bumida sa upcoming teleserye na The Better Woman kasama si Andrea Torres.
