Song Joong-ki opened his Instagram account last Valentine's Day! Are you following him online?
Good news to all the K-drama fans! Descendants of the Sun actor Song Joong-ki has officially joined Instagram, giving fans a peek into his daily life through photographs.
On February 14, Valentine's Day, the South Korean actor announced that he had joined the social media site through his agency HISTORY D&C.
They even penned a sweet message for the actor to welcome him on Instagram.
It said, “Knock, knock! A sweeter gift than chocolate has arrived!
“Actor Song Joong-ki has opened an Instagram account.”
As of this writing, Song Joong-ki has posted five images and has attracted more than 750,000 followers online and counting.
Currently, the actor is only following his management company, so it will be interesting to see which other celebrities he will follow along the way.
Since the announcement was made official, fans of the actor couldn't help but go gaga over the news and thanked HISTORY D&C for allowing the actor to interact with his fans in a personal way.
One fan said, “Thank you, HISTORY D&C, for always protecting and loving Song Joong-ki. I always pray for the great success of all the actors and actresses under this agency. God bless you more.”
Another wrote, “This is the best thing ever done on Instagram.”
Meanwhile, some fans couldn't help but feel elated to know that the handsome actor has joined the social media site.

Opening his Instagram account is one way for Song Joong-ki to thank his many admirers, thanks to the continued success of his movie, Space Sweepers, which has been dominating the video streaming platform Netflix since its release on February 5.
Space Sweepers is a Korean space opera directed by Jo Sung-hee. The story's plot is based on a Spaceship Victory's crew members, who, after snatching a crashed space shuttle in a debris chase, find a seven-year-old girl inside it. The crew then realizes that she is a human-like robot wanted by the UTS space guards.
Besides Song Joong-ki, the movie stars Kim Tae-ri, Jin Sun-kyu, and Yoo Hai-jin.
Following Space Sweepers, the actor is set to star in a new K-drama titled Vincenzo. He will play the titular role of a notorious Korean-Italian lawyer who works for the mafia as its consigliere to fight against society's villains with veteran lawyer Hong Cha-young (Jeon Yeo-been.). Vincenzo takes on villains who have escaped the clutches of the law by being more evil than the criminals.
Vincenzo is set to drop on Netflix starting February 20.
