On November 2, Jin Goo's agency Varo Entertainment confirmed that the actor recently tested positive for COVID-19 and has been receiving treatment at the isolation facilities.

"Jin Goo was diagnosed with COVID-19 and is currently being treated in an isolation facility," the agency stated.

"Last month, he received notice that he had been in close contact with a confirmed case. After he tested positive, he has been following the measures given by the disease control authorities. At the time he was tested, he had no symptoms, and he continues to be asymptomatic now. He is in good health," Varo Entertainment added.

The 41-year-old actor was tested for COVID-19 while he was preparing for his next project and confirmed to have the virus on November 1.

"There is no need to worry. We will actively follow the guidelines of quarantine authorities," the agency said.

Jin Goo made his debut in the drama All In in 2003. He gained popularity when he starred in the 2016 drama Descendants of the Sun, along with actors Song Joong-ki, Song Hye-kyo, and Kim Ji-won.
