Filipino designer Eddie Baddeo has passed away at the age of 57.

According to a Facebook post made by the designer's longtime partner Edgar Medina, Baddeo died today, August 16 at 1:40 am.

One of Baddeo's friends and models, Marina Benipayo paid tribute to the designer on Instagram.

Baddeo was set to launch a book and a fashion show called "Obra Maestra" on September 13 and 14 at Cultural Center of the Philippines to celebrate 33 years in the fashion industry.

Baddeo was diagnosed with colorectal cancer back in 2016.
