This was the brief and certain answer of newly-crowned Binibining Pilinas Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach when asked on 24 Oras about the rumors that she went out on a date with President Benigno S. Aquino III.

“It’s not true. I don’t know where that story came from. Hindi sa amin galing ‘yung story na ‘yun,” the beauty queen clarified against stories saying that she was seen with the president in an Italian restaurant in Cubao.

Pia also added, “It’s very flattering but this is my first day as Miss Universe-Philippines 2015 and I’m just trying to savor the moment. I’ve been waiting for this crown for a long time.”

“Matagal kong linigawan ‘tong koronang ‘to. Eto ‘yung boyfriend ko ngayon,” she enthused.

This year was Pia’s third time to vie for a title in the country’s prestigious beauty pageant.
