The Dinagyang Festival 2021 activities will push through in 2021 despite the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. However, the Dinagyang festivities in 2021 will be different from the previous years as some of the activities will be held on-ground, while some will be held online.

The official Dinagyang Facebook page of the Iloilo Festivals Foundation recently unveiled the full list of activities for the Dinagyang 2021.
The festivities will kick off with a virtual opening salvo on January 15 and followed by the Dinagyang Landmark Design Contest to be streamed live on January 16.
They will also have a Dinagyang Mural Contest to be held at Along, Iloilo City on January 17.
There will also be a Dinagyang Trade Fair, which will run from January 18 to 24, and a Dinagyang Costume Contest on January 19 at SM City Iloilo.
On January 20, the Dinagyang Drumbeats Contest will be held at Robinsons Iloilo.
And although the fluvial procession in honor of the Señor Santo Niño will not push through in 2021, there will be a motorcade on January 22, which will cover the districts of Lapuz, La Paz, Jaro, Mandurriao, Molo, Arevalo, and City Proper.
On January 22 to 24, the Dinagyang Online Food Fest will be streamed online as it happens in several venues including SM City Iloilo, Icon, City Time Square, and Festive Walk.
There will also be a live stream of the Dinagyang sa Calle Real on January 23 at the Iloilo Dinagyang Facebook page and iloilofestivals.com.

The annual religious sadsad or dance worship will also go virtual in 2021, as it will be pre-taped at the San Jose de Placer Church and streamed online on January 23.
Meanwhile, the Dinagyang Mass to be held also at the San Jose de Placer Church will be streamed the next day, on January 24.
Other virtual events happening on January 24 are the One Dinagyang Digital and the Awarding Ceremony.
The Dinagyang Festival is celebrated each year to commemorate the arrival of the replica of the Santo Niño de Cebu to the San Jose de Placer Church in 1967.
During the said historic event, devotees from Cebu who brought the image of the Santo Niño were given a warm welcome by the Ilonggos with a grand street dance in the streets of Iloilo City.
Due to the ongoing health crisis, many devotees will not be able to physically celebrate the Dinagyang Festival in Iloilo City in 2021, but the silver lining is that people all over the world can now witness the festivities without leaving the comfort of their homes.
