Showbiz industry leaders Dingdong Dantes, Boy Abunda and host-entrepreneur Chris Tiu join forces for an advocacy campaign that empowers Filipinos to be right.
The campaign, called “Matuto, Matuwa. Be Juan Tama,” is spearheaded by GMA Entertainment Group through its infotainment shows Amazing Earth and iBilib, and showbiz-talk show Fast Talk with Boy Abunda.
Amidst the rampant problem of misinformation and disinformation, "Be Juan Tama" encourages Filipinos to choose what is right - “tamang kaalaman, tamang impormasyon, at tamang asal” - and do it in a fun way!
The campaign also solidifies GMA Network's commitment to uplift the lives of Filipinos by providing them with information, knowledge, and learning based on fun and facts - something that they rightfully deserve.
“What's common among all our shows - science, nature, and showbiz - lahat tayo, we want to stick to facts,” explains Boy.
“That's exactly the whole point of this campaign dahil gusto natin magbigay ng mga programang makabuluhan para sa mga manonood. At higit sa lahat, mga programang makakatulong sa kanilang buhay,” Dingdong adds.
“That's what the Filipinos deserve. 'Yun ang tama,” Chris stresses.
By combining fun and facts, Amazing Earth, iBilib, and Fast Talk with Boy Abunda are able to effectively provide content that is not only entertaining but also relevant and beneficial to the viewers.
Amazing Earth offers lessons to protect and nurture the environment through adventure and interesting nature trivia. iBilib teaches science through exciting experiments and hacks for kids and teenagers. Fast Talk with Boy Abunda delivers factual showbiz news and life lessons through meaningful conversations with celebrities.
Through the playful message of "Be Juan Tama," these shows call on everyone to “be one” in choosing the right content that will better our lives.
Dingdong Dantes, Chris Tiu, and Boy Abunda will also spread the campaign's message through a series of "Be Juan Tama" Masterclasses in schools around the country. The Masterclass Series will kick off in San Sebastian College - Recoletos on August 26, 2025, attended by around 1,200 student leaders and student influencers from 12 colleges and universities in Metro Manila.LINK:
