Kapuso Primetime King Dingdong Dantes expressed the importance of health and fitness for him and his family, especially his two kids Zia and Sixto. The Kapuso actor attended the recent “Share the Alaga” run held by Unilab and Watsons on Sunday, February 22.
In a round table interview with Watson's SAVP, Marketing, PR, & Sustainability Sharon Decapia, and Health Business Unit director of Watsons Ms. Cecille Uy, they shared that they have a perfect partnership with Unilab through the “Share the Alaga” run.
“So this actually is a perfect partnership because the Share the Alaga is all about everyday care, it's all about being pro-active so it's really a common objective for both Unilab and Watsons. And it's perfect because Watsons is also celebrating our 185th anniversary,” Decapia said.
She added that the event is perfect since it gave them the opportunity to get the running community together “into this one big event advocating movement, health, and wellness.”
According to Sharon, they wanted to inspire Filipinos to take charge of their health proactively.
“We are encouraging everyone to be more proactive, to really advocate for their own health and wellness and to empower not just themselves, but the whole family because siyempre we believ that with the family, when the basic unit is healthy, everyone will be proactive and actually helps the Filipinos, the Philippines in general,” Sharon said.
Kapuso Primetime King Dingdong Dantes was also present at the event as the ambassador of a vitamins brand. During an interview with the Kapuso actor, he expressed how much he supports programs that promote wellness and making kids stronger.
“That's the reason [I'm here], para talagang i-encourage 'yung mga bata to get into sports, lalo na may mga ganitong klaseng activities kasi parang family event. Kung ang mga magulang ay ginagawa ito, halimbawa pagtatakbo, paggawa ng mga maliit na bagay, ganu'n din ang mga bata, napakasaya na makita na magkasama silang ginagawa ito,” the actor said.

One method he and his wife Marian Rivera encourage their kids is by modelling and participating in the activities themselves. And while as parents and actors, they have some of the busiest schedules, the Kapuso actor shared one way to find time for their health and fitness.
“You just have to commit to it. So katulad ng ibang mga ginagawa natin, trabaho, magsimba, maligo, mag-toothbrush, mag-commit sa isang daily lifestyle,” Dingdong said.
Dingdong added that aside from being proud, he's more surprised of their kids' efforts to get more into sports.
“Like 'yung panganay ko, si Zia, she's too much into swimming and any other sport, so kitang-kita ko talaga 'yung drive niya, 'yung hilig niya sa ginagawa niya,” Dingdong shared.
