Kapuso Primetime King Dingdong Dantes is nominated in the ContentAsia Awards 2024. The 2023 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entry Firefly, which he also starred in, is also one of the nominees.

The ContentAsia Award celebrates Asia's best premium video and TV content in 27 categories. Categories include Best TV Drama Series for local and regional audiences, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Original Game Show, Best Original Song, and Best Factual Entertainment Programme.

More than 500 entries from 13 Asian countries and territories were submitted this year, the highest since its inception in 2020. A total of 77 jury members hand-picked the nominees from China, India, Indonesia, Singapore, Mongolia, Hong Kong, Philippines, Malaysia, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, and Vietnam.

Dingdong is nominated for Best Male Lead in a TV Programme for his role in the murder-mystery drama Royal Blood. Meanwhile, MMFF entry Firefly received the nomination for Best Asian Feature Film/Telemovie.

Renowned broadcast journalist and host Jessica Soho also received a nomination for her special report "Secret Slaves: The Jessica Soho Special Report on Human Trafficking" in the Best Current Affairs Programme Made in Asia for Regional Asia and/or International Markets category.

Sunday noontime show All-Out Sundays is also nominated for the Best Variety Program category.

Winners will be announced on September 5 in Taipei, Taiwan.
