Kapuso Primetime King Dingdong Dantes announced that his action-thriller film with John Arcilla, A Hard Day, has earned a spot in the Metro Manila Film Festival 2021.
A Hard Day was originally set to be showcased at the Summer Metro Manila Film Festival in 2020 but due to quarantine restrictions, the summer fest was canceled and the film's MMFF debut was put on hold.
He also expressed how “honored” he was to have starred in the film with John, who had just recently been awarded the Volpi Cup for Best Actor at the 78th Venice Film Festival.
Directed by Lawrence Fajardo, the Filipino adaptation of the 2014 South Korean film follows the story of a detective who accidentally runs over a man, and hides the corpse in his mother's coffin.
A Hard Day is one of the eight official entries handpicked and evaluated for the film festival's return to the cinemas this Christmas.
